Santee Cooper Country Club offers some of the most scenic golfing in the area. Set among Santee's tall pines, expansive native foliage, and with portions of the course overlooking majestic Lake Marion, this well-conditioned George Cobb layout offers a tough challenge for seasoned golfers and great to spot to learn for newcomers.
Opened in 1969, Lake Marion Golf Course is one of Santee's premiere courses, with pine tree-lined fairways, bordering lakes, and 47 sand bunkers. With the area's largest golf pro shop, a lighted driving range, and lessons available from PGA golf professionals, Lake Marion Golf Course is a great spot for golfers of all skill levels. And on-course on-course villas, townhouses, hotels and inns make it the perfect vacation destination for the whole family.
Right off of I-95 and I-26, the Golf Digest 4-star rated Santee National offers a challenging course featuring Bermuda fairways and Champion Bermuda greens, winding around several strategically placed lakes. Each hole offers four tees, so golfers of all skill levels can enjoy.
Owned and operated by Santee Cooper Golf Resort, this 35,000 putting green offers a diverse and challenging experience for golfers of all levels. Designed based on the Himalayas putting course in St. Andrews and designed to include nearly every feature a golfer might encounter, this putting green is a perfect place to spend the day while staying at one of Santee Cooper’s many villas.
Dating back to 1957, this nine-hole course is great for beginners but will still offer a challenge to more experienced golfers. An affordable experience featuring a 36,000 yard 36-par, the Holly Hill Country Club has a well-stocked bar and grill for after you hit the links.
One of the premier country clubs of the Midlands, the Orangeburg Country Club offers a full slate of amenities, from an 18-hole championship golf course, four clay tennis courts, and Olympic-sized pool, and many restaurant options – all within view of the majestic Edisto River. The course was designed by leading architect Ellis Maples in 1963, and has been acknowledge by the SC Golf Ratings Panel as one of the “Top 50 Courses in South Carolina”.
Featuring a par-72 course measuring 6,722 yards, a fully-stocked pro shop, tennis courts, and club house with a full bar and grill, Hillcrest Golf Club is another great way to enjoy some of the best golfing in the Southeast. Hillcrest also offers multiple practice facilities including a driving range, putting and chipping green, and a practice bunker. Championship-rated, Hillcrest is the home for the Annual Orangeburg Festival of Roses Tournament, the SC State University Intercollegiate Tournament, and was a Sectional Qualifying Course for the 1994 US Amateur Championship.
