Donate a Blessing Box

The Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with County Councilwoman Latisha Walker and the Tiffany Grant Foundation to expand their “Blessing Boxes” initiative.

Councilwoman Walker, through her foundation, supports the needs of local homeless students, indigent college students, and families struggling to meet their basic needs. It would be a tremendous help if your organization and employees donated to this project by accepting and filling one of the blessing boxes.

Some of the items needed are listed below:

Toothbrushes
Mouth wash
Throat lozenges
Back packs
Soap
Deodorant
Comb or Brush
Fingernail clippers
Shampoo
Lotion
Chapstick
Laundry detergent
Reusable containers
First-aid kit
Feminine hygiene items
Gift cards
Gummy vitamins

NON-PERISHABLE BUT READILY ACCESSIBLE FOOD ITEMS THAT CAN BE CONSUMED OUT OF A PACKAGE OR POUCH

Can or pouched tuna, salmon, chicken, or turkey
Fruit cups
Dried fruit
Beef jerky
Pop-tarts
Breakfast or granola bars
Crackers
Pretzels
Tortilla chips
Water
Gatorade (or any low-sugar electrolyte drink)
Salt and pepper
Vienna sausages
